Wuxia Animation Project Pt. II - Shinobi - Concept Design

This is some more of the character concept art from my animation series inspired by classic Asian cinema. While some episodes in the series are inspired by classic Chinese films like the works of the Shaw Bros. and Golden Harvest, the characters shown here are inspired by classic Japanese swordplay films like those of Raizo Ichikawa, Kintaro Katsu, Wakayama Tomisaburo, as well as all of the films and TV series exploring the historical folklore surrounding the three way rivalry between the Koga, Iga and Yagyu clans, especially the films and TV series of Sonny Chiba and Hiroyuiki Sanada like Kage no Gundan. All of the modeling here was done between Daz Studio and Character Creator 3, with custom texturing created in Photoshop and the renders being done in CC3, Iray Render.
